1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways to provide better experiences to all of our users.

• Account Information: When you register for an account, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as your name, company name, address, email address, and telephone number.
• Manually Entered Roster Data: Information regarding students, lesson times, and performance schedules that you explicitly input into our application dashboard to build your music recital events.
• Log Files: RecitalGenius follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks.

2. Google User Data and Limited Use Policy (OAuth Disclosure)

RecitalGenius offers integration options leveraging Google API Services to enhance user workspace efficiency. When you explicitly choose to connect your Google Account to our application, the following conditions govern the transmission and access of that data:

• Google Account Profile Information: When you authenticate using Google Sign-In, we request access to basic profile information (such as your email address and public profile picture) to securely create and authenticate your RecitalGenius user profile.
• Google People API Access (auth/contacts.readonly): Our web application requests read-only access to your Google Contacts list. This access is exclusively initiated by the user to allow music teachers to easily select their existing contacts and associate them internally with student profiles already managed within the RecitalGenius dashboard. This eliminates manual data-entry errors.
• Data Storage and Modification: RecitalGenius operates strictly on a read-only basis. Our system will never modify, create, delete, or append any data back to your Google Contacts directory. Your imported contact lists are used dynamically within your active dashboard session and are securely processed.
• Data Sharing Restrictions: We do not share, sell, or rent any Google User Data or Contact details retrieved via the API to third parties under any circumstances. The data is entirely confidential and restricted to internal application functions.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain our web application.
• Improve, personalize, and expand the functionality of RecitalGenius.
• Understand and analyze how you use our web platform.
• Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the website.
• Process your scheduling configurations and eliminate duplicate entries.
• Find and prevent fraudulent activity.

4. Data Security

We use commercially acceptable and secure industry protocols to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, or exposure. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

RecitalGenius's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites.
